Bitch Mittens: [Noun] Gloves worn while rowing, lifting weights or other activity that might cause a person to develop callouses on her hands. Refusal to remove earns the wearer the title “Princess Bitch Mittens.”
The PBM blog began way back in 2014 when two women sat in a boat and started to row. After a long hard year of training, filled with blisters and tears, they were stronger, happier women. With fantastic arses.
Somewhere along the way, their sport had become a passion, but it was being part of a crew that made it beautiful. PBM is an online space for strong, positive women to share their stories, where they can feel part of a crew too – no matter what their passion. Over a dozen women blog here on sport, life, love, career, family and everything in between.
3 years on, over 350 posts have been published, there are 3,297 facebook fans, and the blog has become a community. We’re older, wiser and still sharing all the highs and lows.
Back July 2016 we were blown away to be nominated for not one, but two Blog Awards! On the night we were delighted to go home with the SILVER for Best Irish Sports Blog. And now in 2017, we’re delighted once again to be on the Shortlist for Best Irish Sports Blog!
